2nd Statewide GENDA Call-In Day

Click here to sign up to take action on GENDA!

Successful 1st GENDA Call-in Day held May 20!
Thousands of GENDA supporters received this call to action and phoned Senator Duane and their own Senators. See more details here.

Transgender Rights are not a partisan issue.

We need you to act NOW to win GENDA this year!

The Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA) (A.5710/Gottfried)(S.2406/Duane) is a bill that would outlaw discrimination in New York State based on gender identity and/or expression. Currently it is legal in New York to be fired from your job, kicked out of your home or be denied credit or public accommodations (like service in a restaurant) simply for being transgender.

GENDA has already passed the State Assembly this session. The 2nd Statewide GENDA Call-In Day is our community’s next unified effort to push this necessary bill onto the Senate floor for a vote. Sign up and we’ll let you know when you need to call your Senator to let them know that we need them to act immediately and bring this bill to a vote in the Senate.

If you are not already a member of our Action Alert system, sign up by clicking here and filling out all necessary fields on the form. Sign up now to make sure you hear from us when it’s time to act!

Want to do more to win GENDA?

1. Get everyone you know who supports GENDA to take action now. If you attend groups, meetings or events that have transgender participants, click here for letter text you can use. Print copies and get GENDA supporters to sign and mail these letters to their Senate representatives.

2. Contact Transgender Rights Organizer Ejay Carter to be added to the campaign listserv and kept up to date on the latest calls to action at ecarter@prideagenda.org or 518-472-3330 ext. 306.
